Cervinia can be the perfect choice for a Family Ski Holiday as the slopes here are highly geared towards both beginner and intermediate skiers. Don’t worry if there’s someone in your family who needs more of a challenge as they can take advantage of the area pass and ski over into Zermatt for more thrills and challenging skiing.
There are wide easy runs all over the area and one of the best terrain parks in Italy so both boarders and skiers will be happy with the 400m long and 100m wide park.
The resort centre is somewhat smaller than you would have imagined it may be but it is pedestrianised which helps with the ambience. The resort is quiet, but a few bars can be found in the centre which gets livelier at weekends when the Italians tend to come up.
When staying in Cervinia its good to know that there is little to do off the slopes. There is a natural ice rink at the foot of the slopes. With this in mind it may be wise to choose a hotel with pool to keep little ones amused. The Cervino Ski school as well as holding lessons also has a mini club. There’s a great Club Med All Inclusive hotel up on the hillside which offers full time childcare and lots of activities for families. It's ski back to door and has an efficient private mini bus service to and from the lifts.
