In 2015/16 the ski resorts of Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn combined in the to form one of the largest ski resorts in Austria which now offers 270km of piste with the ski area stretching from the Tyrol (Fieberbrunn) all the way into Salzburger Land to connect with Saalbach, Hinterglemm and Leogang. This figure of 270km is verified by the consultant Christoph Schrahe which makes it officially Austria’s largest ski area (see our blog about this here).
With fast modern lifts now (almost) fully upgraded, you travel uphill on either fast chairs or gondolas, now there are no slow lifts here. It’s a ski area you should be adding to your places to ski list. 95% of the ski lifts are fast making the Ski Circus the best in the world when it comes to fast lifts.
This is excellent terrain for intermediate skiers and boarders. For beginners, the best nursery slopes are located in Saalbach although these face south so in spring the better destination would be Hinterglemm with a north facing slope which will hold the snow better. The progression slopes from both villages are very good. Advanced skiers will find little to keep them happy for a full week and are best to ski elsewhere.
We have a choice of nearly 40 different ski accommodations in the Ski Circus ski area. So we will always come up with a ski deal for you.
Our ski deals below are updated every day, sometimes up to six times a day, so if you spot a ski deal on this page you will be available to book most of the time.
