It’s a great choice for intermediate skiers and boarders, with plenty of varied terrain and the freedom to explore across multiple resorts in a single day. It’s not the most challenging area for advanced skiers, but if you enjoy cruising and covering distance, it’s hard to beat.

Most visitors base themselves in Saalbach or Hinterglemm. Saalbach is the main hub with a lively atmosphere and good beginner areas, while Hinterglemm offers a slightly quieter base with north-facing slopes that hold snow well later in the season.
