You may think that travelling to Canada is a ‘no-no’ with a family due to the long flight time, however if you choose the east coast resorts such as Tremblant the flight is only 6 hours - so very ‘doable’ indeed.
This resort is purpose built in an ‘Old Quebec’ style and the buildings are painted in bright colours, with narrow cobbled streets with various squares which give it a very French feel. As its purpose built getting around is very easy on foot (it’s also pedestrianised), however there is a free bus.
A Family Ski Holiday in Tremblant will suit your whole family from the beginners through to the more expert skiers as the runs are varied with many wooded pistes which are helpful if the weather closes in, which it can do in mid-winter. Make sure you are prepared for this with plenty of good thermals.
The beginners’ area is huge with long runs from the top of the mountain to the base and a children’s adventure slope on the south side of the mountain.
The resort has good snow reliability and many of the slopes have snowmaking too.
Off the slopes there’s plenty to do and activities include ice skating, horse riding, tubing, snow mobiling and curling to name just a few.
