Club Med Arcs Extreme will be just for adults from 2016/17
1st February 2016
Club Med skiing holidays have a broad appeal particularly for families who love the all-inclusive nature of Club Med. For families the savings can be huge as not only is the ski pass included but also 5 full days of ski lessons are also included in the price of the holiday.
Therefore we were surprised when Club Med announced that our most popular Club Med resort in Les Arcs is going to be just for adults from next winter. For adult groups this will be welcome news, as the hotel is being upgraded, all 279 bedrooms will get a makeover with new carpets and curtains, redecoration and new fixtures and fittings.
We understand that the common parts of Club Med’s Arcs Extreme hotel will also be re-decorated with new carpeting and furniture and a fresh lick of paint.
Club Med have several wonderful hotels in the Paradiski area including their 4 trident family favourite hotel at Peisey Vallandry. The slope side location of this hotel is perfect for families being right by the link across to La Plagne. In addition, on the La Plagne side of the Paradiski area there are two ski in ski out hotels, 3 trident Aime La Plagne where we are hosting our end of season ski trip this year and 4 trident La Plagne 2100 where families are well catered for.
Two new Club Med ski resorts are planned
Rumours of two new Club Med resorts have reached our ears, we are told contracts have been signed for a new hotel in Les Arcs 1800 and we understand a new hotel is also planned for Samoëns in the Grand Massive ski area. We are really pleased to hear about the Samoëns hotel, this is a ski area that deserves more visitors. It is Frances third largest linked ski area with some wonderful skiing available, in fact we think the best blue run in the whole of France is probably the Cascades run above Flaine. This sweeping Blue is long (14 km) and away from other slopes and ski lifts and feels like more of an adventure than just another blue run dropping through the trees.
Wi-Fi upgrade Club Med promise
We wish we didn’t need to stay connected when on a ski holiday, but today many of us, me included, need to stay connected to the office and with our friends via the many social media channels that are available. Club Med have recognised this and have promised to upgrade all their hotels Wi-Fi.
