Skiing Holidays in the Arlberg Ski Area
St Anton and Lech are probably two of the most well-known ski resorts in Austria. Along with the linked resorts of St Christoph, Oberlech, Zurs and Zug they now make up a ski area 340km in total. This is a ski area best suited to Advanced and intermediate skiers, although 1000’s of people learn to ski here every winter and the resorts nursery slopes. For off piste skiers it’s a dream. The ski area has plans to further extend the train.
We have a wide selection of accommodation in St Anton which includes the largest selection of chalets and chalet hotels in Austria, traditional hotels from B&B to Half board and a small selection of self-catered apartments in this lively pedestrianised attractive resort. The skiing is superb and best suited to intermediate or above skiers.
A short ski or bus ride away is the quiet linked village of St Christoph which is a perfect place to stay if you don’t want the liveliness of St Anton or perhaps want the Arlberg skiing but are on a tighter budget, we have a handful of hotels and chalet hotels here which are all ski in and out or almost.
Lech and Oberlech are renowned for having a plethora of quality hotels to choose from. We feature many hotels and chalet hotels in these two linked resorts which have an upmarket quality and feel. For exceptional value our ski hotel of the year 2016 is Hotel Theodul which is located close to the centre and lifts.
Zug and Zurs are outlying villages connected by ski lift and pistes or local bus, they again like St Christoph, are the place to head to if you like it quiet or don’t have the budget for pricier Lech. We have a small handful of hotels in these resorts and a ski in out chalet in Zug. There is not much accommodation in these resorts so don’t hang around if they sound like the right location for you.
