Zürs is one of the lesser known ski resorts within the Arlberg ski area, along with its busier neighbour Lech, it also shares its ski area with St Anton, St Christoph, Zug, Stuben and Sonnenkopf in a ski area covering 304km of linked pistes, making it Austria’s largest ski area. In addition to piste skiing, the ski area also has around 200km of deep snow runs.

Zurs is one of the most exclusive ski resorts in Europe, it has the highest ratio of private ski instructors to guests anywhere.

Zurs attracts an international clientele including royalty who are seeking luxurious accommodation and a first-class service.

In the 2016/17 ski season, four new lifts link Zürs and Lech with St Anton and Stuben, greatly improving the skiing here.

Beginners skiing in Zurs

Zurs offers gentle nursery slopes, which are located beside the village centre. Long, wide, groomed blue runs are the order of the day.

Intermediates skiing in Zurs

Tremendous terrain for the intermediate skier with countless opportunities. With its amazing ski-in/ski-out location this area offers a huge variety of blue and red runs.

Advanced skiing in Zurs

The best and the most challenging off-piste skiing can be found in Zurs with plenty of testing black runs and routes.

Snowboarding in Zurs

The Schlegelkopf-Hang is the home of the ‘Boarderland Lech’ – an ambitiously constructed slope paradise for snowboarders. The terrain – almost exclusively connected by chairlifts – offers opportunities to train and to show off with 1.2km of pipes, jumps and slides.

Après the village is fun with many chic, fashionable bars and select lunchtime restaurants plus mountain huts, many of which offer award-winning cuisine.
