Skiing in Nendaz

Nendaz sits within the heart of the 4 Vallées ski area, offering access to over 412 km of pistes. The resort’s altitude and extensive lift network help ensure reliable snow conditions throughout the season, while the variety of terrain makes it suitable for a wide range of abilities.

Local skiing in the Printse area provides plenty of variety close to the village, while fast links open up the wider 4 Vallées, including Verbier’s famous slopes, for those keen to explore further afield.

Beginners skiing

Nendaz offers a solid environment for beginners, particularly families and first-timers looking to build confidence. The resort has several wide, gentle nursery slopes close to the village, ideal for learning the basics in a relaxed setting.

Progression is straightforward, with easy green and blue runs allowing new skiers to move beyond the beginner area without feeling overwhelmed. The quieter local slopes are especially helpful for those gaining confidence before venturing further into the ski area.

Intermediate skiing

Intermediate skiers are particularly well catered for in Nendaz. The Printse area offers a good mix of cruising red and blue runs, ranging from wide, confidence-boosting pistes to steeper, more testing descents.

With direct links into the wider 4 Vallées, intermediates can easily ski towards Veysonnaz, Thyon or further across to Verbier, enjoying long days covering plenty of ground. The variety of terrain and reliable snow make Nendaz a strong choice for skiers who enjoy clocking up the miles.

Advanced skiing

Advanced skiers will appreciate Nendaz’s access to some of the most challenging terrain in the 4 Vallées. Steeper pistes, demanding itineraries and excellent off-piste opportunities can all be reached within a short distance of the resort.
