Chalet Snowbel probably has the best location in Meribel of any individual chalet. It is two doors down from La Refuge restaurant, right in the centre of town. It is less than a minute to walk to the escalator that takes you onto the ski slope. From here, it's a short ski to La Chaudanne, the main lift area of Meribel.
Snowbel offers three bedrooms, all twins or doubles, with one of the rooms also having space for extra beds, for use as a family room. The chalet has two balconies and a brand-new, secluded hot-tub on the upper terrace.
Off the entrance hall, you have Bedroom 1. This is the ensuite double / twin bedroom, with room for one or two more beds. It’s ideal for a couple, for three single adults, or two adults and two children.
On the second floor, there is access onto a large outdoor terrace shared with the hot-tub. Bedroom 2 is an ensuite double / twin room with a bath. Bedroom 3 is a very small room, currently set up as a twin or double.
It's ideal for one adult, two children, or at a push a couple. Next to Bedroom 3 is the bathroom complete with integrated shower/bath.
Chalet Snowbel has a fantastic location for a ski chalet in the Three Valleys, as it is right in the centre of Meribel. It’s less than a minute’s walk to the escalator by the tourist office that takes you up onto the slopes. Then it’s an easy ski along to La Chaudanne - the main lift area. From here you can access the huge ski area of the 3 Valleys. La Chaudanne is also the meeting point for the various ski schools.
At the end of the day, it's an easy ski down the blue home run, to the top of the escalator, and then a wander back to the chalet. The only problem is, do you stop off at Le Tav for a quick beer on their terrace, or head straight back to the chalet for a relaxing cup of tea and home-made cake? On your door-step you have the many shops, bars and restaurants that make Meribel such a vibrant resort.
Prices shown are per person based on full occupancy of the property. Usually this property is only bookable on a full occupancy basis.
You will be looked after by a chalet host. They’ll come in each morning, and prepare for you a delicious breakfast, setting you up for the day. This will include a hot option, such as pancakes, eggs benedict, or scrambled egg. You’ll have a choice of porridge, cereals, croissants, pains-au-chocolat, yoghurts, tea and coffee.
At the end of a long day on the slopes, you’ll come back to an afternoon tea, of home-made cakes or biscuits. Then in the evening, we’ll cook you a delicious 3-course meal. You’ll enjoy canapés with a glass of wine before dinner, and then sit down to a cordon-bleu meal, all served with specially selected fine wines. As you kick back and relax after dinner, you’ll be served freshly brewed coffee or a choice of teas and after dinner chocolates.
The Extra Touches In Les Griottes and La Petite Silene we serve you Champagne with your canapés each evening. In Snowbel we serve you a bottle of Cremant each evening. In Marmotton we welcome you on your first night with two bottles of Cremant. Les Griottes and La Petite Silene also have a drinks cooler fridge with beers and soft drinks.
Children We know that all families have different eating habits, and we want you to feel very much at home. To this end, we’re very happy to prepare a kids’ dinner earlier in the evening – something like spaghetti bolognese, shepherd’s pie ramekins, homemade pizza bread slices or fish-fingers. We’ll go through with you what your children like to eat or not, and make sure we fill the fridge accordingly.
Food requirements, allergies etc We’ll discuss your food requirements with you before your holiday to make sure we have everything you need. We can offer vegetarian alternatives to each meal, and over the past 17 years, we have catered for all sorts of allergies including nuts, eggs, wheat/gluten-free, coeliac and more. We cater to your needs, not to our fixed menu plans.
