Why Ski in Pragelato?

Linked to Sestriere and Nestled in the heart of the Alps in the beautiful Piedmont region, just under a two-hour drive from Turin lies the charming resort of Pragelato. This traditionally styled village centres around the Club Med Pragelato Via Lattea Resort. The centre is a short, eight minute cable car ride from the world famous resort of Sestriere, part of the amazing ‘Milky Way’ ski area, which offers 400km of pistes all on one lift pass.

Pragelato itself played host to the Nordic skiing events of the 2006 Winter Olympics: the cross-country skiing – which is quite common amongst the locals, ski jumping & the Nordic combined events.

The resort has benefited from significant investment as a result of the Olympics & now provides excellent facilities both on & off the snow. The impressive Club Med Pragelato Via Lattea makes a great base to enjoy all that the region has to offer. It’s not cheap, but for this level of quality & service which is still rare in Italian ski resorts – there is little competition.
