The new Black run L’Ibex
More mature skiers, of which I’m one, will remember is old Black run under the Plattieres 3 gondola. The new run, named L’Ibex is steep and will be left natural. It’s 600m long and descends 300m vertical.
Now accessed from the top of the new quick Bouquetin chair at 2700m, you will be able to watch skiers heading down as you travel up.
A spokesperson for the resort said “This is one of our Vertical Experience pistes, where skiers can challenge themselves on a steep couloir” adding that the run would be avalanche-controlled.
The 3 valleys ski area are hopeful this new run will add to the appeal of the ski area with advanced skiers and adrenaline junkies alongside its other famous run like the Couloir Tournier and of the popular Grand Couloir at Soulire.
