Swindon’s snow dome delayed
10th June 2019
Construction of the UK’s 7th Snowdome in Swindon has been delayed by 6 months say Seven Capital, the company behind the development.
A Seven Capital spokesperson confirmed there had been a delay in securing finance, which he said was partially due to Brexit uncertainty, but said that the money required was now secured and that the next stage was detailed design for the construction of the development.
The £270m development will be the UK’s seventh and most southerly indoor snow centre when it opens, now scheduled for 2022, and will be managed by the team that runs The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead.
Snow Domes are helping introduce many new skiers to winters sports so we are keen to hear about investments in the UK to aid the ski holiday business.
