We love the Follie Douce dance bars that are now an international brand, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that they have an ambitious hotel project planned which is hoped will open in time for the coming 2019 ski season.
The hotel will include 1,500 beds, of which some rooms will be host styled rooms starting at just €25 pppn to more luxurious rooms starting at €325 per person per night. We understand the complex will include shops, spas, swimming pools, cinema and ski schools. Access via its own lift.
The accommodation
Details are limited but we understand the hostel-style rooms will offer a cheaper way to ski, aimed at younger skiers looking for an exciting base with a lively après ski party to finish the day. These will be multi-occupancy rooms available for friends to book.
At the other end of the scale, smarter suites sleeping, 4, 6 or 8 are available and what is promised to be at the luxury end.
Folie Douce has opened the old Club Med hotel in Chamonix which has undergone a refurbishment since its days with Club Med.
