We are always surprised how few of our clients ask for a skiing holiday to Serre Chevalier! For us it’s a winner, 250km of ski slopes in one ski resort is big, even by French standards. We agree some of the modern buildings on the main road are off putting but get into the old town and you find the kind of ambiance you would be looking for on your summer holidays.
Serre Chevalier is made up of 4 valley villages, Briancon, Chantemerle, Villeneuve and Le Monetier, all offer direct access to the skiing above.
The skiing in Serre Chevalier is best suited to intermediate and beginner skiers, but even experts won’t be disappointed.
For beginners, all 4 villages have nursery slopes with lots of excellent progression slopes. For Intermediate skiers, if you have not been here yet, we suggest you go. It’s a perfect choice, a big area, that gives the feeling you are traveling miles, with loads of excellent tree lined runs in case the weather closes in or to seek shade on warmer spring days. Advanced and expert skiers should enjoy the skiing here, there are 6 blacks and 1 red that are never groomed and several great blacks that will thrill.
Our accommodation in Serre Chevalier includes catered ski chalets, several great chalet hotels, hotels and apartments to suit all budgets. Club Med also has a hotel, which is our single most popular accommodation, particularly for families wanting childcare and all day ski lessons.... Read more
