What’s On During Your Méribel Ski Holiday This Season

We’ve already covered the improvements to Méribel’s lift system in a previous blog and as well as the attraction of having easier access to the 600km of marked ski runs in the Three Valleys, this French resort has plenty of events planned to keep skiers and snowboarders entertained during the season.

The season starts on 6 December with ‘Chefs at the summit’, at the top of the Platières chairlift, which starts near the Plan des Mains and Chatelet chairlifts in Mottaret (2400m) and takes you up to Roc des Marches (2,700m). This free gourmet tasting experience includes appetisers prepared by chefs and served al fresco.

Comedy festival

The resort will host its usual spectacular Christmas and New Year’s Eve attractions, and then from 3rd-6th February there will be laughs for both French and English-speaking visitors during the ‘Franglish bilingual Comedy festival.

The main events are being staged in the resort’s auditorium, starting at around 8pm and then afterwards, the laughter continues at break out comedy shows in various Méribel village bars.

Caught on camera

‘The Rider Film Festival’ on 18-20 March will feature screenings of sports action films. The annual festival will feature 10 teams who will screen their ski and snowboard films from the 2025-2026 season. Athletes will also take part in a Q&A session about their mountain sport experiences.

Music battle

As the resort prepares for the end of the season, there will be a ‘Soundclash – DJ Battle’ on the 3rd April from 6-10pm. The music ‘battle’ between French and English DJs who will set up at each end of the square at Place Maurice Front in Méribel Centre. The event is free to visitors.

First tracks

Skiers and snowboarders can have the mountain to themselves by taking the opportunity to make First Tracks on Roc de Fer. This new early-morning experience enables participants to access freshly groomed slopes before all the lifts open.

Interactive adventure

The ‘Explor Games’ app has been updated. This Interactive family adventure app invites you to take part in ‘The Quest for Méribel’s Heart’ using geocaching beacons and trails around Lac de Tuéda.

Let the children play

Children aged between 5 and 12 years old are catered for throughout the season. On Wednesdays and Thursdays (check in resort for selected dates), they are invited to take part in various experiences such as ice sculpting and treasure hunts.

Para-skiing World Cup

If you enjoy watching competitive skiing and snowboarding, there’s a chance to see the world’s top para-skiers in action during a World Cup tour stage being held in Méribel from 26-30 January.
