Comedy Club In A Cable Car… Are You Having A Laugh?

Comedy is being taken to new heights in the French Alps through a unique aerial stand-up comedy event – the Paradiski Comedy Club. It is taking place during the 2026 February school half term holidays (16- 27 February).

The Vanoise Express cable cabins, which transport skiers and snowboarders between Les Arcs and La Plagne, are being transformed into stage areas on which top comedians will be performing what is believed to be the world’s highest stand-up show.

This event is being put on in collaboration with the Métro Comedy Club, which usually provides mobile stand-up comedy shows on the Paris metro.

The Paradiski Comedy Club will enable comedians to perform in an intimate atmosphere and will be in both French and English during the crossing between Les Arcs and La Plagne.

Programme and Artists

Every Monday to Friday from 16-27 February, stand-up shows in the Vanoise Express cable car will be available to Paradiski lift pass holders between 10am-12pm and 2-4pm.

The organisers are promising something for everyone during the five-minute cable car journeys.

This is just another example of the Paradiski area’s aim to introduce new and often unique initiatives to entertain visitors during their ski holiday.

The Vanoise Express cable car has linked Paradiski together for 22 years. Previous attractions have included cable car coverings by designer Castelbajac, a dinner ‘in the sky’ prepared by a chef, and a highwire crossing between the two cabins.

The stand-up comedy artists will be set up in the cable car cabins on a stage, and their live acts can also be seen simultaneously on a screen by other waiting passengers.

Paradiski in a Nutshell

Paradiski claims to be the third largest ski area in the world with 425km of slopes. It links Les Arcs / Peisey-Vallandry and La Plagne in Savoie.

Since opening in 2003, the Vanoise Express cable car has enabled skiers and snowboarders to make the 1,800m crossing between the two ski areas in around five minutes.

70% of Paradiski’s slopes are located above 2,000m altitude, with two peaks reaching over 3,000m.
