Short break ski packages in early January from £299
20th June 2016
When the dates of Christmas and New Year fall over a weekend, (the traditional departure and arrival days for skiing holidays), it really screws things up for every ski tour operator. Who wants to travel on Christmas Eve? or perhaps even worse on New Year’s Eve? as Crystal ski holidays have surprisingly chosen to do this winter.
In Europe the big Christmas celebrations take place on Christmas Eve, with Christmas day reserved for nursing hangovers. So a flight delay or poor road conditions could lead to guests arriving too late to enjoy the celebrations and of course you will be travelling home on New Year’s Eve the following Saturday probably too tied after travel to enjoy the inevitable party invites back in the UK.
Ski Chalet short breaks from £299pp
The sensible tour operators have adapted their programme to make the travel days more appealing. Some are offering skiing holidays departing on a Tuesday up until the New Year’s week and then have a 4-night skiing holiday from Tuesday 3rd January where prices start at just £299 pp for a package ski holiday in a catered ski chalet with flights and transfers.
How about a short break All-Inclusive skiing holiday from £665
Club Med who are the only true all-inclusive ski company is also offering short breaks in early January where prices start at just £665. The price includes flights, transfers, all meals, ski passes and ski lessons or guiding. This is exceptional value for money when you consider the ski pass alone would cost €132.30 for 4 days, let alone what you might spend on drinks and lunches.
