Ride in a Porsche in St Moritz, free with your lift pass
7th October 2016
The name Porsche has long been associated with good design, so when St Moritz commissioned a new chair lift they turned to the upmarket German car manufacturer to design one of the sexiest ski lifts we have ever seen.
The new ski lift which is located on the Curtinella piste in the Corvatsch sector is 2.2km long and is 750m longer than the lift it replaces and carries double the previous capacity, now carrying 2,400 skiers per hour.
The Curyinella piste is very popular because of its sunny situation within some wonderful hilly terrain and the new lift connects the two mountains of Silvaplana-Corvatsch and Sils-Furtschellas.
The falling value of sterling and the rise in the value of the Swiss Franc has made a Swiss skiing holiday more expensive this year, but the canny skiers looking for value for money in St Moritz are booking Club Med’s all-inclusive hotel in St Moritz, prices start at around a £1,000 a head including a flight from the UK, which considering it includes a ski pass, ski lessons or ski guiding, lunch in Club Med’s own Mountain restaurant, free bar, (so no expensive rounds to buy!), is exceptional value for money.
