The Eurostar service to the Alps gives you an extra days skiing for free

One of the biggest advantages of traveling to the Alps by train is the extra day you get on the slopes. Using this Saturday night service means that you arrive early on the Sunday morning in time for a full days skiing, a day that if you flew would be spent in the air, or on a long coach transfer. Wouldn’t you rather be skiing?!

The other big advantage is that your train arrives at the foot of the mountains at either Moutiers for the ski resorts in the Three Valleys, Aime for La Plagne and Les Arcs, or Bourg St Maurice for Val d’Isere, Tignes or La Rosiere.

Travelling to the Alps can be exhausting, particularly for young children, airport delay and security checks and then long transfers by coach before you reach your arrival destination isn’t always the perfect start to your ski holiday.

By Eurostar the journey becomes part of the holiday, short check in times and minimal security delays means you are in your seat in no time and you have the freedom to move about the train, enjoy a packed lunch or dinner, watch a film or do some painting. When you arrive at either Moutiers, Aime or Bourg St Maurice you only have about 30 minutes’ taxi to most ski resorts.
