Alpine Ethos

Alpine Ethos, who operated 8 catered ski chalets across Meribel and La Tania have unfortunately ceased trading.

A statement posted on their website read:

It is with sadness and following careful consideration, that the directors have made the difficult decision to cease trading.

Despite our very best efforts, we have been negatively impacted by the extraordinary challenges our industry has faced over recent years including the combined impact of Brexit, Covid and the cost of living crisis.

Unfortunately, pre-existing bookings for 2024/25 season are unable to be fulfilled and are therefore cancelled.

The Company is unable to offer refunds of any payments made.

Consumer Rights

In order to understand your consumer rights you should contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau, travel insurance provider or bank/credit card provider who will be best placed to advise you in this respect.

Liquidation

We are now taking steps to place the Company into liquidation. Begbies Traynor in Newcastle has been appointed to assist with this process.

All customers who are owed money by the Company will be contacted by Begbies Traynor in due course. Should you wish to correspond with Begbies Traynor please use the following email address Rose.Johnston@btguk.com

This comes as a double blow following the demise of fellow Meribel chalet specialist Alpine Action who ceased trading in May.

If you have a chalet booked with Alpine Ethos and are looking for an alternative holiday, please give our ski chalet specialists a call as we’re sure to find you your perfect ski holiday.
