Dr Holms Hotel has been part of Geilo since the beginning, opening on the same day as the Bergen Line in 1909. With over a century of history, the historic hotel has preserved its charm and offers a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for guests.

Surrounded by the Hallingskarvet mountains, the iconic white wooden building towers over the resort, giving you fantastic views all around, and convenient access to the snowy slopes of Geilo. The Dr Holms Hotel offers ski in, ski out access via a gentle blue run, so you can easily make first and last lifts each day. When you return, unclick your skis and store them in the heated ski storage room.

When you return for the evening, there's plenty of activities to keep you occupied - enjoy a game of bowling, relax in the spa area or enjoy a drink in one of the bars. The spa area is the perfect spot to unwind - enjoy a dip in the pool, relax in the sauna and steam bath, soak your achy ski legs in the indoor jacuzzi or marvel at the incredible views in the outdoor hot tub.

Location

• Dr Holms has a fantastic ski-in, ski-out location via a blue slope
• Around a two minute (200 metres walk) to the Slaatahesisen drag lift and nursery slopes.
• The free ski bus stops just opposite the hotel
• The centre of Geilo is less than a five minute walk (300 metres) away where you can find a range of shops, bars and the train station.

Food & Drinks

During your stay at the Dr Holms Hotel you'll be booked on bed and breakfast, but there is the option to upgrade to half board, which will include your evening meal also.

• Each morning you can enjoy a tasty buffet breakfast with a range of sweet and savoury options. Breakfast is served from 7.30-10.30am and until 11am on Sundays.
• When it comes to dinner you can enjoy a delicious evening meal with a menu inspired by local and seasonal ingredients. Dinner is served in the main Dr Holms restaurant, when upgraded to the half board package.

In addition to the main restaurant, Dr. Holms offers a variety of other bars and restaurants, though these are not included in the half-board offering.

• If you're a sports fan, Sportsbar 1909 is the place to be, it's the perfect spot to catch your favourite games while enjoying a beer and a delicious burger.
• For a family friendly experience, Bowl & Dine is an excellent choice, serving up the classics like hamburgers and pizza, and also features a fantastic bowling alley.
• If you would like a gourmet dining experience, Restaurant Christian offers an exquisite gourmet menu in a beautiful setting.

Après-ski at Dr. Holms is nothing short of legendary and is a must-experience part of your stay. The SkiBar, open late into the evening, is the perfect place to unwind with a few drinks after a day of arctic activities. If you're in the mood for something more relaxed, the Lounge Bar is a lovely area in the hotel where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or an aperitif before dinner.

Superior rooms are around 30m² and sleep two to four people with a double or twin beds, plus a double sofa bed suitable for one adult, or two children. Rooms have an ensuite with bath or shower and have tea and coffee making facilities.

Family rooms sleep two to four with a double or twin beds, plus a double sofa bed suitable for one adult, or two children. These rooms are available on request, please call to book.

Deluxe family rooms sleep two to four with a double or twin beds, plus bunk beds suitable for two children. These rooms are available on request, please call to book.

Single rooms are around 12m², sleep one person with a single bed and have an ensuite with a shower.
