The Hotel Vauban is in a convenient position in the town of Briançon at the southern end of the Serre Chevalier valley, just 10 minutes’ walk to the ski lift.
It represents great value for money for those looking to access a superb ski area on a budget. The hotel is simply furnished, bedrooms are modern, while other areas maintain a more traditional appeal.
The town itself, while not a ski resort as such, has plenty of activities on offer, making it a perfect choice for those who aren’t planning on spending the whole week on the slopes. There are a wide range of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants, plus a selection of leisure and wellness activities to choose from and Briançon old town is a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site.
