Kaprun is a fantastic place to learn. The Lechnerberg nursery slopes in the village centre are gentle and welcoming for first-time skiers and children. As a step up, beginners can also take the gondola up to the glacier and enjoy blue runs at 2,500 m, with reliable snow and sensational panoramic views.

There are plenty of runs for Intermediates. The glacier offers long blue and red runs such as the 5 km descent from the summit to Langwied. Maiskogel and Zell am See’s Schmittenhöhe mountain both provide an excellent selection of cruisy reds, while the link to Saalbach-Hinterglemm via the Ski ALPIN Card unlocks hundreds of kilometres of intermediate terrain.
