Ski Holidays to Switzerland have been popular with the Brits for years, in fact it was the British who first persuaded a Swiss Hotelier to remain open in the winter. Our history with Swiss skiing goes back to before the last century.
In recent years several UK tour operators have reduced the number of ski chalets and chalet hotels they operate in Switzerland after changes in Swiss Employment law prevented the employment of gap year student, who traditionally take up the roles for a ski season. This saw a big drop in the number of tour operator run ski chalets, the one's available today, tend to be the higher end. There are a couple of exceptions.
