The classic short break to experience the magic of Lapland. Choose between five great hotels to sleep in before heading off to meet Santa and his elves. Revel in a Sleigh Barn show, a Festive Dinner, and see the elves perform in a magical igloo. Follow Santa’s glow trail he’s left behind by a snowmobile sleigh for your private meeting with Santa.

Welcome

After flying across the Arctic Circle, you will be greeted at Ivalo Airport by our cheeky elves who are eagerly awaiting your arrival. A great first photo opportunity, but they do like to create mischief and mayhem.
A short 25-minute coach transfer to your chosen hotel and our Santa’s Lapland Representatives will join you on the coach and get you all excited with some festive songs to make the journey even quicker. Keep an eye out on the journey to Saariselkä and see if you can spot any reindeer or maybe an elf in the woods close by.
Spend some time settling into your accommodation & meet our helpful representatives who will give you all the information you need to have the complete Lapland Experience.
The afternoon is yours for a snowy fun adventure, you’ll be cosy in your complimentary thermal suits so you can properly explore and play in the snow. A chance to make a snowman, carve out snow angles, perhaps try some tobogganing, or simply relax in the sauna.
Then it’s time for a tasty dinner in the hotel, ready for tomorrow’s great search for Santa.

Our representatives will pick you up for the ultimate Christmas adventure, enjoying all the following exciting activities at some point throughout the day, all of which are included in our prices!
Husky Sled Ride – where the children get to ride with a parent (and shout ‘mush mush!’ at every opportunity!) and grown-ups can all take a turn at actually ‘driving’ your own sled! Imagine your sled, drawn by five or six eager huskies, straining at the leash and eager to run, then released – and you’re off! Racing across the snow and through the woods is the most perfect way to experience Lapland’s winter wonderland.
Reindeer Sleigh Ride – meet your reindeer and your local Sami guide then take a wonderful 7-10 minute ride into the picturesque woods, with the ‘swish’ of the runners across the snow, and children and parents cuddled together under blankets in the sleigh.
A Magical Igloo is hidden away in the woods and once there, join in the fun and wait for a magical surprise that is waiting just for you. Then, pop to the igloo next door to see their glistening ice bar, where you can admire the magnificent ice sculptures and enjoy a drink.*
Join in the fun and play on the Crazy Reindeer Golf, try your hand at Reindeer Lasso, and find out what surprises are in store at the Sleigh Barn.
Lunch is also included, to ‘recharge your batteries’ for the afternoon. This will be a simple and warming 2-course meal, with plenty of hot berry juice, squash, tea and coffee also available.
A host of Snow and Ice Fun Activities are provided for you to enjoy, such as snow-hockey, kick-sledding (a crazy Finnish cross between a scooter and a toboggan!), tandem skiing, mini-skidoo rides for the children, and tobogganing.
Throughout the day, the warm Kota’s are the perfect place to warm up around a crackling log fire with pancakes and hot berry juice
Follow Santa’s magical glow trail and see your children’s faces light up with wonder, as you fulfil your family’s Search for Santa with a private family meeting in Santa’s secret cabin. With elves on hand to make you welcome there is sure to be magic in the air!
Finally, back ‘home’ in your hotel in Saariselkä, it’s time to finish the day with a Festive Dinner. The perfect time to relive all those magical moments and share stories of your unforgettable Christmas adventure! Don’t forget to pop on that Christmas jumper under your snowsuit for some festive flair at dinner.

Dream a little longer

Fun-time again, with the chance to thrill to another big adventure, whether pre-booked in the UK or chosen locally the day before from a range of additional adventures. You may have fallen in love with the huskies and want to enjoy an even longer Husky Sled Ride or relax on a Reindeer Ride.
Hop on a thrilling snowmobile ride through the chanting forests with your family. Don’t forget your driving licence and have a go at driving, while the kids sit in the back to take it all in.
This morning also gives you a chance to browse the village’s souvenir shops, to choose from their range of traditional hand-made Lappish items and clothes, Christmas gifts and toys.
Say your farewells to this magical land and our representatives will collect you from your doorstep for the short coach ride to the airport to catch your flight home!
The amount of time allowed to do these activities depends on the actual flight departure time.
