Why choose Isola 2000

Isola 2000 is our most southern of all French ski resorts, so far south in fact its only 90km from Nice Airport. Its located in the southern Alps at 2000m, its ski range is between 1840m and 2610m and often has snow when other parts of France don’t. The piste cover 120km serviced 24 lifts.

Isola 2000 slopes are arranged in a horse shoe shape around the resort with the majority of the skiing being above the tree line.

Ski Line has a good choice of self catered apartments and limited hotels, no chalets in Isola 2000.

Skiing in Isola 2000

Beginners skiing

Isola 2000 has an excellent nursery slope in front of the village which is ideal for beginners. The progression green and blue slopes are easy for beginners to reach without any steep bits! There are 7 green runs and 21 Blue runs

Intermediate skiing

Isola 2000 has 11 red runs and 21 Blue, the best section for intermediates is the St Sauveur with some great reds, for the more brave the black runs in the Pelevos will challenge.

Advanced skiing

Pelevos is the place for advanced skiers and boarders to head for, there are some interesting blacks in this sector and some excellent off piste when the snow is good.

Snowboarding

Isola 2000 has a fun park and boarder Cross area, but we warned 10 of the 29 lifts are drags!

For a small ski resort Isola 2000 has a reasonable activities for none skiers. About 17km is a good sports centre with pool, steam rooms, ice skating and bowling. Its possible to book snow shoes and take a 5km walk around the mountain.
