The small Tyrolean village Ellmau is located 820 metres above sea level at the foot of the imposing mountain massif Wilder Kaiser. On the other side of the valley is the Hartkaiser - at the same time the entry to the largest connecting ski area in Austria.
The location is just 20 km from the Austrian-German border, near the famous cities of Kitzbühel and Kufstein and is an ideal place for summer holidays and winter sports due to its good motorway access and perfect infrastructure.
The Sporthotel Ellmau is situated on the outskirts of the municipality with a population of 2600 - just between ski lift and golf course!
In winter guests can benefit from the excellent location right on the ski slopes and the connection to the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental - the largest connecting ski area in Austria. With ski runs which take you to the Kitzbühel ski metropolis and lots of rustic cabins and Apres Ski until late into the night! Superbly groomed cross country trails in the valley and romantic winter hiking trails that you can experience with or without snowshoes.
