Luxury catered chalet service is available in Chalet BANJA, Chalet BINNA and Chalet ULYSSE.
From the moment the operator meets you at Zermatt’s rail station to when they drop you back there for your journey home, you are their guest. Their English speaking team is on hand to look after you and during your stay, their priority is to make you feel at home in your chalet. From the softness of the pillows to the coziness of the duvets, the size of the towels and the fluffiness of the dressing gowns, everything is there for your comfort.
Whilst your rooms will be serviced and cleaned daily with a change of bed linen and towels mid-week, every day in the chalet begins with a copious breakfast and on your return from the slopes in the afternoon, tea and cakes will be waiting for you.
In-chalet “fine dining”
On the evenings when you are dining in the chalet, aperitifs and canapés are served after which, their chef invites you to take your places for dinner, signaling the start of a four course culinary event to excite the taste buds and indulge the appetite.
Drinks are included
As well as beers, mineral waters soft drinks and mixers, they serve our specially selected house wines as an accompaniment to your dinner although for a supplement, you can chose from their attractive wine list which boasts a small but tempting collection of vintages from both the locality and further afield. Also, a choice of the more popular spirits is on offer for both before and after dinner whilst at any time, you can help yourself to hot and cold drinks which are freely available in the chalet.
On your arrival, you should feel free to discuss the week’s menu with the chef who will do his/her best to please during the evenings you are in his/her charge.
Wherever possible, staff will be happy to cater for special dietary requirements or children’s meals and for younger skiers who need their sleep, an early kids’ supper can be served in advance of the main dinner service.
Special Zermatt in-chalet catering service
Zermatt is the undisputed gourmet capital of the Alps with its massive selection of excellent restaurants, both on and off the mountain.
To take advantage of this unique particularity and despite the exceptionally high standard of our own in-chalet catering, experience has shown that many guests prefer to dine out more often during their holiday or, after a serious lunch, to skip dinner completely.
For that reason, this operator has created a special luxury catering arrangement, uniquely adapted to the needs of our chalet guests in Zermatt. In addition to full daily housekeeping, breakfast and afternoon tea, dinner is served on just 4 evenings during a 7 nights’ stay.
The operator however appreciates that during the Christmas, February and Easter school holidays, families would likely prefer to eat in the chalet more often and for specific weeks, our prices include full dinner service on 6 evenings.
In any case, their highly experienced and knowledgeable concierge service is at hand to assist with whatever restaurant bookings you may require.
Please note however that the catering in the BACKSTAGE LUXURY CHALET and BACKSTAGE LUXURY LOFT is provided by the Michelin starred kitchens of the Backstage Boutique Hotel which is responsible for providing all the services in these two unique chalets.
