San Martino di Castrozza Ski Holidays

San Martino may be one of Italy’s smaller ski resorts, but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in charm and scenery. With its stunning Dolomite views and meticulously maintained slopes, this is a destination where quality truly shines. The terrain here is gentle and welcoming, making it perfect for those ready to move beyond the nursery slopes. You’ll find a nice mix of runs, from expansive mountaintop pistes to serene, tree-lined trails lower down. And with its southern location in the Dolomites, San Martino enjoys plenty of sunshine, promising those bluebird days skiers dream of.

The village of San Martino itself is nestled in a sunny basin, surrounded by dense pine forests and towering rocky peaks—a picture-perfect alpine setting. The nearest lifts are just outside the village, but a regular shuttle makes it easy to get from your accommodation to the slopes. And since the après scene is centred in the village, you can easily drop off your gear before heading out for an aperitif in one of the relaxed local bars.

But skiing isn’t the only way to experience the mountains here. You can bundle up for a guided walk through the forest, glide through the snow on a horse-drawn sleigh, or take to the skies with a tandem paragliding flight for a bird ’ s-eye view of the stunning landscape.
