San Cassiano is a delightful ski village in the Dolomiti Superski area. Its set in a convenient location between La Villa and Cortina in the local area known as Alta Badia, which offers 130km of pistes, if you upgrade to the full area pass the skiing opens up to 1220km!
Other local villages sharing the skiing include La Villa, Val di Fassa, Corvara and Colfosco.
The hidden valley is one of the highlights of any skiing trip in the Dolomiti. The run is one of the most beautiful we have ever skied and easy for competent skiers. A shared taxi service back to San Cassiano will cost about €5.
San Cassiano is popular with both British and Italian skiers, so you will find a varied choice of good restaurants both in the village and the mountain which is how it became known as the “Gourmet skiing” and the après ski is very good.
The skiing is suitable for every level of skiers and snowboarders.

San Cassiano is a delightful village on the magnificent Dolomiti Superski area, well positioned between La Villa and Cortina, and close to Armentarola, with its famous horse-drawn ski-lift! A stunning array of dramatic Dolomite peaks provides an unforgettable backdrop to the incredible 1,220km of varied skiing, which is easily accessible from the resort’s main Piz Sorega gondola. San Cassiano is popular with Italian and British skiers alike, so you will find a particularly good selection of gourmet restaurants on the mountain, as well as simpler, traditional pit-stops. Hug’s Bar and Da La Vedla provide some of the best après-ski in the village, with the Las Vegas Lodge on the mountain providing a lively atmosphere for a final stop-off on the last run home.
