Ski Holidays in Val Cenis

Situated in the heart of the Savoyard Alps on the Italian border, Van Cenis is a charming ski resort with traditional villages, cosy chalets and access to a ski range between 1,400 and 2,800 metres. The picturesque resort has surprisingly good snow conditions for a non-glacier destination, as most of its terrain lies above 2,000 metres. There’s also plenty to do off the slopes, with free cross country runs, dog sledding, ice skating and a lively apres ski atmosphere.

Val Cenis is located in the Maurienne valley in France at 1400m with a ski range between 1400m and 2800m it offers 80km of piste serviced by 20 lifts.

The main village are Lansiebourg and Lansievillard with lifts departing from both and criss cross the valley between. The main gondola departs from Lansievillard. Above the mid station the runs are mainly open and above the tree line, below the mid station there are some pretty tree lined runs.

Most of the run face north so tend to hold their snow well through out the season, good snow cannons cover the lower homeward runs.
