Base Camp Lodge Les Deux-Alpes, France
The Base Camp Lodge is a central hotel in Les Deux Alpes, just a 2-minute walk from the town centre. The nearest lift is a 4-minute walk away, so you're close to the slopes here, too. And when it's time to stop skiing for the day, you can grab a drink from the bar and chill out by the fire in the lounge, or head to the hotel sauna to relax.
The décor here is a fun and modern twist on traditional alpine style. The bedroom walls have mountain-shaped wood panelling and floor-to-ceiling landscape pictures, the lightshades are mini-cable cars and the bedside lamps are fir trees. The alpine theme is more subtle in the cosy communal areas, but you'll still be able to spot mountain shapes and wall-mounted skis among the traditional wood panelling and neutral walls.
Set yourself up for a day on the slopes with a hot and cold buffet each morning – there's a range of sweet and savoury options to pick from. And to refuel at the end of the day, tuck into a 3-course evening meal with a choice of starter, main and dessert.
All rooms are non-smoking and have free WiFi.

Tourist Tax
In some resorts, you’ll need to pay a small fee called a ‘tourist tax' at your accommodation, either when you check in or check out.
These taxes can change at short notice, so it’s always worth checking the latest details before you travel.
Good to know: Not all accommodation accepts card payments for taxes, so you may need to pay in cash instead. For some countries, tourist taxes are calculated based on an accommodation's official rating, which can be different to its rating on our/the operators site.
