Hotel Richemond Chamonix, France
The Hotel Richemond has a traditional French feel and a whole lot of character. Built in 1914 and run by the same family ever since, there are tell-tale signs of its history in the vintage furniture and architecture. And it’s ideal for a central stay – the front opens onto Chamonix’s pedestrianised streets and the ski bus stops just behind the hotel, so you'll be slope-swooshing in no time.
Once you’ve skied the day away, you can cosy up by the fireplace in the lounge, sipping on a drink from the bar. Or choose a spot by the window to enjoy views of Mont Blanc while you relax. For something livelier, there's pool, table tennis and pinball in the games room, so why not grab a pal and play a few rounds?
Mornings here start in the rustic breakfast room, where you'll tuck into a buffet with croissants, cold cuts and other Continental staples. And in the evenings, there are plenty of restaurants around the hotel to explore.
All rooms have a flatscreen TV, telephone and WiFi. Hairdryers are available at reception.
