Chalet Le Vieux Logis Alpe d’Huez, France
The island in the sun. Wide, varied and sunny: its ski area seduces all snow lovers.
Perched on a south-facing plateau and benefiting from a microclimate, Alpe d'Huez boasts 300 days of sunshine per year!
Its magnificent domain, regrouping 4 resorts and 2 villages, offers 250 km of slopes, marked by a great variety: will you launch yourself on the Sarenne, the longest slope in the world: 16 km of uninterrupted descent? Will you try the Tunnel run, which crosses the mountain? Or venture into freestyle? In the resort, at an altitude of 1860 m, forget your car and take the free shuttles, which operate day and night to take you to a thousand family or sporting activities.
It is one of the most charming chalets in Alpe d'Huez, located in the historic heart of the Alpe, in the Viel Alpe district.
Located on the Eclose slope, this charming detached property offers the skier everything you could ask for.
Le Vieux Logis has been lovingly and thoughtfully renovated, resulting in a stylish interior that combines contemporary design elements with tasteful furnishings full of character. Wooden floors and two open fires provide a warm ambiance, while the spacious and airy living room offers a large and comfortable sitting area. From here, French doors lead out to the large sunny terrace; a perfect place for post-ski drinks in the sun while enjoying the breathtaking views of the valley. The separate dining room on the lower level is full of character with a beamed ceiling, open fire and elegantly tailored furnishings.
On 450 square meters, the chalet has 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms of various sizes, all decorated in neutral tones, six of which also have a balcony.
A new spacious sauna and two rain showers have been added on the first floor.
The large kitchen is equipped with professional equipment. A bar, game room and wine cellar complete the lounge. Across the street, the Alpe Express gondola takes you directly to the Bergers area.

The advantage of booking a self-catered skiing holiday is often the price. The disadvantages mean either eating out, which in a ski resort is often expensive, or it means having to cook your own meals, which probably means less time skiing, and who really wants to shop and then cook an evening meal after a full days skiing?
Huski, the Alps-based catering business offers a great solution, that means you can still enjoy the great value of a ski apartment or self-catered chalet and eat well without the fuss of having to cook your own food.
Huski delivers a week’s worth of dishes, freshly frozen and ready for you to just heat and serve.
Huski catering is only available to properties in French ski resorts.
