Why Ski in Panorama?

Panorama is a fantastic Ski resort in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.

This purpose built village is conveniently located at the foot of the slopes so that everything is easy to get to and find. All of the accommodation will be either slope side or ski in out so it’s compact and convenient.

The average snowfall here is a massive 16 foot so really snow sure and it offers mainly intermediate skiing on 120 runs.

3 chair lifts take you to the top of the mountain and there are a choice of runs down from here, one blue and the rest diamond (red) or double diamond (black). You can also walk up the ridge to the Taynton bowl (see below for more details on this). The most popular routes down are Roy’s run and View of 1,000 Peaks, both are diamond runs.

One great thing that Panorama does well is their absolutely free of charge ‘Mountain Friends’ program. This is where you can join a group of similar skiing ability either for the morning or afternoon to ski the mountain with friendly, knowledgeable guides. This is a must do and helps you to get to know the terrain on offer.

There’s a mixture of lifts, which include a fast village gondola, 5 chair lifts, for beginners there’s also a long slow carpet, a baby carpet and a button lift.
