Skiing in Rauris

Beginners skiing

The nursery slopes are near the gondola at the base of the slopes. Once beginners feel ready they can go up in the gondola to the gentle slopes which are relatively snow sure. The pistes here in the area are good for beginners to gain confidence on before going on to the blue runs.

Intermediate skiing

Intermediates in Rauris will really enjoy the well groomed slopes, and the long wide red runs are great for confidence building and general technique improvements. These lovely runs are accessible from the chair lifts from the village.

Advanced skiing

The more advanced skier will defiantly want to try out the black run from Heimalm, this long run from the top takes you all the way to the gondola station at the bottom. The un groomed off piste skiing here is also a good way for the advanced skier to feel challenged.

Snowboarding

Snowboarding in Rauris is great for most levels. There are great groomed pistes to cruise down on and a fun park for boarders in Hochalm which is full of action with a boardercross course.

Après ski in Rauris

The bars in Rauris are a mixed bunch, you can enjoy a quiet drink in one and if you prefer a party atmosphere there are other bars to accommodate that too. The lively bars you need to go to are either The Snake’s Beer or Dies and Das (D&D)

Activities off the slopes in Rauris
