The villages of Saalbach and Hinterglemm
The village of Saalbach has a cosmopolitan feel and has a car-free centre with many shops, restaurants and excellent après-ski. Hinterglemm is not far behind. Hinterglemm is also pedestrianized and the après-ski top notch. Both villages are fairly compact, so you’re never walking long to the ski lift or the centre.
Catered chalet Silian
Chalet Silian enjoys a quiet location near the centre of Hinterglemm. The Mitteregglift, with access throughout the ski area, is within 500 meters and within 800 meter you can find the centre of Hinterglemm (Saalbach at 2000 meters). The ski bus stops 50 meters from the chalet. For the experienced skier it is also possible to ski back to the chalet. Return (via a bit off piste) For walkers there is a beautiful trail in front of the chalet.
Silian Chalet is a spacious chalet with a beautiful living / dining room with a cozy seating area and beautiful Austrian mountain views. Through the living room you have access to a large south-facing terrace.
The chalet has 10 bedrooms, all with private shower. On the ground floor of the chalet there is a sauna and your own cozy home bar!
Ski area
The Saalbach Hinterglemm ski area in Austria is one of the most complete and most enjoyable ski resorts in the Alps. The ski area consists almost solely of modern ski lifts, with little waiting time and runs for every level accessible. From Hinterglemm you can make nice day trips to Saalbach, Kolling, Vorderglemm and Leogang.
For skiers looking for a ski area with (a lot of) cozy mountain restaurants and huts, Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm is highly recommended!
Important notice
This chalet is operated by a Dutch tour operator, who have been in the catered ski chalet business for 42 years, operating ski chalets in France, Austria and Italy. The prices shown below are based on 7 nights catered chalet accommodation only, flights and transfers are not included.
The principle difference between the “normal” British chalet arrangements that you will be familiar with, is that afternoon tea and cakes are not included. However, house wine, beers, soft drinks, and tea and coffee are available and are included in the cost of your holiday.
Breakfasts will be more Dutch in style with cheese, hams and bread, yogurt and fruit juices, tea and coffee.
This catered ski chalet is available for both groups wanting to book the chalet for their exclusive use and for individuals wanting to book by the room. The prices shown are per person.
