Zermatt Ski Chalets

Ski chalets in Zermatt are far less common than in many other Alpine resorts, which makes those that remain particularly appealing for shared group stays. With limited chalet availability, early booking is strongly recommended.

Zermatt is one of Switzerland’s most prestigious ski resorts and prices reflect that, but a catered ski chalet can often be the most cost-effective way to stay, especially for families or groups of friends. While overall choice is limited, the chalets available tend to be well located and well suited to group accommodation.

The skiing in Zermatt is best suited to confident intermediates and advanced skiers, with extensive high-altitude terrain and excellent snow reliability. Less experienced skiers may prefer nearby Cervinia, which offers gentler slopes and wide, confidence-building runs on the Italian side of the ski area.
