In The Lap Of A Luxury Chalet

The combination of comfort and indulgence offered in a luxury ski chalet is an attractive proposition. It’s not just about the skiing and snowboarding, the entire alpine experience takes you to another level of pleasure.

Let’s start with the locations. A large selection of luxury chalets can be found in ski resorts such as Courchevel, Kitzbühel, Cortina, Verbier, Zermatt, and St. Moritz, but although these are where you will most likely find the rich and famous glitterati, this higher level of accommodation is available in most ski resorts.

Luxury chalets often combine traditional alpine charm with modern opulence and have impressive living areas with log fires, panoramic windows, and beautiful interiors that feature natural and local materials such as stone and wood.

There are private balconies and terraces where guests can admire stunning views. Plus, many have ski-in/ski-out access, or a private transfer service to get you to and from the slopes.

Fine dining has become synonymous with trips to the mountains, and the majority of luxury chalets have their own in-house chefs who prepare tailored gourmet menus using locally sourced produce. As well as the delicious dinner menus, guests can expect champagne breakfasts and après-ski canapés. In addition, the chefs can cater for any special dietary requirements.

The chance to relax and indulge yourself is always welcome, and most luxury chalets have their own private hot tubs, saunas, hammams, and indoor pools. Some even boast yoga rooms and fitness studios. Massages and beauty treatments can be arranged in the comfort of your own chalet.

You can expect an elevated level of personalised service from the dedicated staff in a luxury chalet, including chalet hosts, as well as the private chefs and chauffeurs already mentioned. Between them, they offer a round-the-clock service to ensure all your needs are met. Children can be looked after by onsite or local childcare and nanny services.

As well as the usual resort après ski, the staff can arrange more entertainment in the chalet itself. For example, what about a cocktail evening or a wine tasting session? Alternatively, you may prefer cosy evenings by the fire, playing games, enjoying a movie night, or simply watching the sun go down over the mountains.

Unlike hotels, when you take over a whole chalet, you can do all this in the privacy of your own surroundings. If you are looking for a special holiday, these experiences are perfect for honeymoons, anniversaries, celebrations, or family get-togethers.

If you want to create some great memories, the staff can organise unforgettable experiences such as helicopter transfers, private mountain dining experiences, guided snowshoeing, husky sledding and horse drawn carriage rides, or paragliding.

Of course, let’s not forget the skiing and snowboarding. To get the best from the ski area, private instructors or guides can be engaged for all levels. Plus, ski and snowboard equipment can be delivered and fitted in your chalet.
