Situated in the south of Norway and on the railway line from Bergen to Oslo is the ski resort of Geilo. A small resort at 800m, Geilo is completely different to a ski resort in the Alps.
The resort centre has managed to maintain Norwegian charm, and Ski Line can offer log cabins, forest chalets, self catered apartments and half board hotels here which make up the majority of the accommodation available.
There are a total of 40 runs in the ski resort of Geilo, served by 20 lifts; a mixture of draglifts and 2 or 4 seat chair lifts. The runs vary in difficulty, with something for all levels of skier.
Families are well suited in Geilo, with a well run ski school providing lessons for all levels and ages, and lots of activities for children.
Après ski in the ski resort of Geilo
Geilo at night isn’t hugely lively during the week, with a small selection of restaurants and bars, mainly in the hotels. It gets busier and more atmospheric at weekends however; with bars such as the ‘Little Blue Bar’ offering live music where will you enjoy a few drinks.
Activities off the slopes in the ski resort of Geilo

Advanced skiing in the ski resort of Geilo
