Skigaarden is found high in the Norwegian mountains, at the heart of Hemsedal Skisenter. As enthusiastic outdoors-men and -women, lovers of Norway’s high mountains and eager skiers, we dare say that this is the ultimate place for skiers and mountain folk. And not just to be able to awake to magnificent views. Skigaarden was built with uncompromising quality in mind, and a love of details. The main building houses three different restaurants, which are perfect for a break whether from skiing or otherwise. Alpine slopes lie in all directions, and with beautiful mountain areas in the immediate vicinity at Holdeskaret this is a pearl in both summer and winter. Welcome to Hemsedal and Skigaarden.

Skigaarden is uniquely placed right in the slopes in Hemsedal, no transport needed. You walk out the door, put your skis on and start your day of being outside in nature enjoying the slopes and all the fun.

Apartments accommodate from four to six people; perfect for a family or group of friends.

Choose between Utsikten apartments (located in the Main House), apartments at Storgaarden 1 or Storgaarden 2, or our lovely chalet Stølen - all of these are centrally situated at Skigaarden.

Storgaarden 1-3 - Apartment, 55 kvm

Storgaarden 1 is a big timber lodge, containing 4 apartments. The combination of logs and modern facilities are enjoyable. The lodge is right on the edge of the slope, so the view from your balcony is simply spectacular!

Living here gives you that cosy cabin-feeling, but you are still so close to the main buliding, so you can almost walk to the restaurant in your slippers.
Under your stay your car is parked safely in an underground garage. Everything is done to ensure you a relaxing stay, so just breathe, and enjoy your holiday!

May sound a bit contradictory, but it is true for this apartment. The interior is done with the same level of quality as everything else we do, in addition to all modern ameneties you want for a pleasant stay at Skigaarden.

This apartment welcomes you into a spacious living room, with a comfortable sofa group, a nice dining area, plenty of space for 6 people. It also has a kitchenette, perfect for fixing an evening snack, or maybe have a late breakfast?
Both bedrooms contains kingsize beds. One room has an en suite bathroom, and a private balcony. There is also an additional bathroom, so you both can have your "own". In addition, you have a balcony with entrance from the living room, where you have a panorama view to everything that is going on outside Skigaarden, and the slopes. It's perfect for your own little afterski, or just relaxing in the sun. This gem alone makes renting this apartment well worth it!

This apartment is on the top floor of Storgaarden 1 and has high ceilings, and thus contain 3 lofts. 2 with a double bed, and a "play" loft, perfect for children who want a little break from their parents.

It is finally the weekend, and finally, you and your partner will travel to Hemsedal to ski Holdeskaret and inwards towards Flævatn. The sun shines and the snow says blue. You are more than ready for extra fine skiing in Norwegian high mountains. Take off on newly prepared trails. Feel the silence and breathe pristine air. Sit down with a cup of coffee and something freshly baked from Skigaarden. Afterwards, a delicious three-course dinner awaits you at Storstugu.

Skigaarden lies at the entrance to an open mountain area. Here you will find many miles of crosscountrytrails, one of the most visited is Beihovdløypa. It is a lovely tour, with a charming café on the way, perfect for a "vaffelpause"( ask a Norvegian)!

SKIGAARDEN 8-1 - Apartment 80 sqm

This is a private, mountain-style apartment with well-equipped kitchen, allowing you to prepare your own meals.Skigaarden 8-1 is a bright and welcoming apartment, perfectly suited for families or smaller group. With 80 sqm of space, two comfortable bedrooms and a practical sofa bed in the hallway/TV room, the apartment sleeps up to six guests.

You’ll find two modern bathrooms, an additional WC/laundry room, and a fully equipped kitchen that makes it easy to enjoy meals together after a day outdoors. The living area opens onto a 10 sqm balcony, where you can take in the fresh mountain air. A private sports storage room of 15 sqm is located directly opposite the entrance, giving you plenty of room for skis and equipment. One parking space in our underground garage is included.

And when you’re ready for a change of pace, we warmly welcome you to the Main House, where our restaurant are located. Indulge in a refined dinner at our à la carte restaurant Storstugu, or savor an unforgettable Omakase evening paired with a carefully curated wine selection.

Start your day – or round off your ski session – with a perfectly brewed cup of coffee in our cozy café and what just might be Hemsedal’s best waffle, served alongside.
