Val Di Fassa Surprise Stay

If you love a little mystery and decisions taken care of, then the Surprise Stay in Val Di Fassa is for you. You’ll be staying in one of six hotels in Campitello, Canazei or Penia – three traditional villages with easy access to the Dolomiti Superski. Two days before departure, we’ll be in touch with the grand reveal – just enough time to familiarise yourself with your hotel, plan your ski routes and picture those Dolomite peaks awaiting your arrival.

Canazei is one of the livelier parts of Val Di Fassa, with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops close by. Possible stays include the grand Hotel Dolomiti, a historic landmark right in the centre of town with live music in the bar, and the Il Caminetto Hotel, known for its cosy alpine interiors. Just along the valley in quieter Penia, Dolomites Inn is a family-run base with true Tyrolean hospitality, close to the Alba ski lift for easy mornings on the mountain.

Over in Campitello, it’s more of a laid-back village atmosphere with speedy access to the Sella Ronda. You could find yourself staying at Hotel Grohmann, a friendly and welcoming option in the centre of the village serving classic Italian dishes, or Hotel Rubino Executive, ideally located within walking distance of the Col Rodella cable car and local bars. And in a more peaceful spot on the edge of town, Hotel Diamant is full of character and authentic style with weekly themed evenings – perfect for relaxed nights after a day on the slopes.
