Hotel de Gletscher, Staffal Gressoney, Italy
Hotel de Gletscher is tucked away in Staffal, one of Gressoney's quieter villages – and with just 12 rooms, it's the kind of small, peaceful spot where you can really switch off. You’re just two minutes by bus to the Staffal Sant’Anna ski lift or if you’ve got your ski legs, it’s a 6-minute walk to the Moos black run.
Inside, you'll find wooden beams, stone walls and a crackling fire that give the place a cosy alpine feel. There's a bar where you can settle in with an après-ski drink, and a sun terrace that's perfect for soaking up the views on a bluebird day. If you fancy some proper downtime, head to the wellness area – you can unwind in the sauna and steam bath for a small extra charge.
Food-wise, you'll start each morning with a continental breakfast of cold cuts, fruit and fresh breads to set you up for the slopes. Then in the evenings, tuck into a 3-course meal packed with local flavours – the kind of hearty cooking that feels like a warm hug after a day in the mountains.
Please note: There’s a steep entrance to the hotel and to and from the centre of resort.
All rooms are non-smoking and have a flatscreen TV, stocked minibar, hairdryer, telephone and safe.

Tourist Tax
In some resorts, you’ll need to pay a small fee called a ‘tourist tax' at your accommodation, either when you check in or check out.
These taxes can change at short notice, so it’s always worth checking the latest details before you travel.
Good to know: Not all accommodations accept card payments for taxes, so you may need to pay in cash instead. For some countries, tourist taxes are calculated based on an accommodation's official rating, which can be different to its rating on our/the operators site.
