This is a mountain refuge built to complement the breathtaking setting. Built to be a self-sufficient as possible the hut uses solar panels and a hydroelectric plant to provide hot running water at 2600m. Considering the remote location the levels of comfort offered by the double rooms and dormitories is outstanding.
Orestes Hütte sits mid-way down the off-piste route from Punta Indren and enjoys stunning views across the Gressoney valley and onwards towards Champoluc.
It has just 7 rooms – 2 dormitories (one sleeping 8 people and the other 10 people) and 5 x twin or double bedded rooms, some of which will accommodate a third bed.
Orestes Hütte is offered on a half board basis – breakfast and evening meal.
As well as the awe-inspiring views, it has a small library and a yoga room (yoga classes available on request).
