Bardonecchia Ski Resort Guide

Why Ski in Bardonecchia?

The Italian ski resort of Bardonecchia is located close to the Frejus road and rail tunnel, It’s a pleasant market town with a mix of old and new buildings, the old part of the town is car free. Many of the resorts accommodation is a walk from the lifts but local busses connect all to the slopes.

Many of the runs are in wooded areas so ideal if the weather closes in. The slopes are in two distinct areas, Colomion is the largest with wide, mainly NE facing slopes which hold the snow very well. The other is called Jafferau whose slopes face mainly West and is above the tree line with some great vertical drops. There is good snow cover via a modern snow making system in case of poor snow, these keep the resort runs open even late in the season, mainly due to the lack of south facing runs.

Skiline offers a good choice of hotels and apartments in Bardonecchia.
