Residence Le Thabor Valmeinier, France
If you’re after slopeside self-catering, you'll love the spot-on setting of Residence Le Thabor. In the morning, you can ski straight off on the Anglaises blue run. Then when you’re done, slide right back to the boot room door – no walking needed.
The Thabor complex itself has everything you need for a comfy stay. Each apartment comes with its own kitchenette area where you can whip up meals – the dishwasher is a big win when it comes to the tidy-up too. If your legs need a reboot after skiing, you can pay a little extra to stretch out in the sauna. And of course, you’ve got the lounge area in your apartment when it’s time to unwind later in the evening. Fancy a night off the dishes? Don't miss checking out the Elan restaurant, right there in the apartment building.
Things are functional rather than fancy when it comes to looks. Rooms are decked out with crisp white walls to keep things fresh and inviting, with big windows to keep those mountain views on show.
There is a steep slope to get to and from the apartment entrance.
Check-in is from 5pm and check-out is before 10am.
All apartments are non-smoking and have a kitchenette with oven, hob, fridge, kettle, coffee machine, microwave, toaster and dishwasher, as well as a TV free basic WiFi and a safe. Towels, bed linen (all beds made on arrival) and end-of-stay cleaning (excluding the kitchen) is included.
1 bedroom apartment (approx. 28m²) – sleeps 1-4: Twin or double bedroom, two single day beds in the living area, private bath with shower attachment, WC, and balcony.
Baby kits are available at an extra cost per week, payable locally, including a travel cot with fitted sheet, highchair, changing mat and pushchair.

Tourist Tax
In some resorts, you’ll need to pay a small fee called a ‘tourist tax' at your accommodation, either when you check in or check out.
These taxes can change at short notice, so it’s always worth checking the latest details before you travel.
Good to know: Not all accommodation accepts card payments for taxes, so you may need to pay in cash instead. For some countries, tourist taxes are calculated based on an accommodation's official rating, which can be different to its rating on our/the operators site.
