For this operator's first-ever Chalet Hotel, they have procured the best-positioned hotel in Les Menuires, in the Bruyères quarter, at the foot of the slopes and with the gondola outside the front door.

Run as a crossover between a chalet and an hotel, it has the added benefits and services of an hotel like a bar and restaurant, comes with a dedicated in-house nursery and a dedicated playroom for older children.

There are just 19 spacious suites, some of which have multiple en-suite bedrooms meaning that you can travel with your friends or another family and share your own private hot-tub and private lounge.

At 1,850m altitude, this new property is high enough to guarantee season-long snow. What’s more, you are just one lift away from getting to Val Thorens, the highest resort in Europe, with its glacier.

The chalet hotel is great for this operator's regular guests who want to try something a bit different, with more families to socialise with than in your standard chalet and for new families, or those that have been to a Chalet Hotel before, this opens up a fantastic location that you may never have been to. Add in our two new dedicated in-house playrooms, one for babies and toddlers, and the second for older kids, as well as the hotel bar and lounge, this exciting new property suddenly appeals to families on all levels.

As well as the easy access skiing, there are exciting après-ski adventures for all the family to enjoy too, as within a minute’s walk are both the wonderful new ‘Aqualudique’ swimming-pool and wellness spa, and the ever-popular ‘Speed Mountain’ toboggan-on-rails adventure, for a 1 km ride of twists and turns.

There are five categories of Suites, ranging from the single-space Studio Suite to the multi-bedroom, multi-bathroom Premium Suite. All suites have a private hot-tub on the balcony, but Suites 10, 17 and 19 have a sauna at an additional supplement.

Life in the Chalet Hotel

Just as with this operator's chalets, the Cocon des Neiges is exclusive to them, assuring you of the company of like-minded family guests. So far, so much the same as their chalets then. But here are a few of the differences, in the form of extra enhancements we have been able to build in to your stay here, thanks to the size, space and facilities available at the Chalet Hotel:

Dedicated Nursery for Mini Marmots is on the same level as the main dining-room and guest lounge, and as well as providing a safe play area, has its own sleep-room with cots, a WC and a small kitchenette to enable our nannies to prepare bottles and baby food for your child.
Spacious Playroom for Monty’s Afternoon Club is situated on the top floor where it doubles as an assembly area for Monty’s Ski Club as it also has an enclosed terrace for safe outdoor play with a door leading directly to the meeting point in front of the hotel.
Monty’s Ski Club is an upgrade to their usual group lessons where the lessons are exclusive to children and there is a maximum of 8 children per class*. There is also a medal ceremony on a Friday after skiing.
Supervised High Tea for children aged 4 months to 12 years adds an extra hour of care (17.00 to 18.00) to your child’s day allowing mums and dads time to get ready for dinner before bathing the little ones or enjoying a quiet drink in the bar.
Monty’s Pyjama Club provides children with a quiet end to the day from 19.00-22.00 while parents enjoy a relaxed dinner together, if they so wish.
