Chalet Silene La Plagne, France
Furnished to a high specification and in a prime spot for ski accessibility, this spacious ski-in chalet apartment offers traditional alpine comforts with modern functionality. Chalet Silene is in the lower building of the ‘Mountain Flower’ chalet complex, which is exclusive to this operator, and is accessed by a lift. There is one main street access into the complex via the lower building and for ultimate convenience, the building benefits from its own skiers’ entrance.
Chalet Silene is built in the Savoyard style with a contemporary twist. The living area has plenty of plush seating and full-length doors opening onto a balcony with south-westerly views of the valley, ideal for watching the beautiful sunsets. Bedrooms are spacious, each with an en suite shower room. All bedrooms have twin beds that can be made into king-sized doubles offering flexible sleeping options for a variety of groups.
In chalet Silene you can relax in peace and comfort as not only does it boast a private sauna but also its own outdoor hot tub, perfect at the end of a long day on the slopes. The chalet also enjoys its own ski locker complete with boot warmers.
With breath-taking views and a relaxed atmosphere, the Mountain Flower chalets offer the ultimate in ski convenience in the magnificent Paradiski ski area.
As all rooms can be configured either with twin beds or a king-sized double bed we will make them up as twins unless advised otherwise.
Plagne Soleil. This chalet apartment sits in a sunny position in the heart of peaceful Plagne Soleil and is perfectly located for access to the incredible skiing of Paradiski. Situated just 100 metres (approx.) from the piste, you can access the nearest lift ‘La Bergerie’ from a 500 metre (approx.) ski down one of two blue runs – Saint Esprit or Melezes. This means you can start your day with a ski run rather than a chairlift! Plus, ski back to the chalet complex on one of these blue runs offering convenient ski-in access. Within 300 metres (approx.) of the chalet is a small selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Plagne Soleil, so-named because it is the last part of the resort to see the sun at the end of the day, is one of the highest villages in La Plagne at 2050 metres. Staying here offers a great alternative to the larger villages. Here you can relax in peaceful semi seclusion and enjoy a laid back holiday with top-notch ski access.
Chalet staff live in the complex
Standard Chalet Board.
Please note this is based on 7-night holidays. For holidays of shorter durations, catering will be provided for 1 day less than the holiday duration.
Ski Line offers the widest choice of ski chalet holidays with more than 1000 different catered chalets to choose from.
Tourist Tax - Not Included
A tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by local councils in European ski resorts to support the local tourism infrastructure and may include services such as ski buses, subsidised admission to amenities e.g. pools and ice rinks and events such as firework displays. The amount charged varies according to the standard and type of accommodation. It is also not paid by all skiers as it is age-dependent. Therefore it is not included in the basic price of your holiday as we do not have all skiers’ ages at the time of booking.
This operator takes great care in planning and creating their delicious menus for all of their chalets, whether they are Grade 3-5 or Signature. If your letters and emails are anything to go by they have succeeded in creating menus that are fresh, healthy and beautifully presented – thank you for your appreciation.
They set high standards for their food and test and taste every one of their recipes – that includes their London office… someone has to do it! Their menus are specially designed to give you what your body needs for active days on the mountain. Chalet hosts are thoroughly trained and required to pass a food and hygiene certificate. They have a team of senior managers whose role is to ensure they deliver first-class meals and service throughout the season.
Because food matters, they believe it is important to use fresh local produce wherever they can. They draw inspiration from regional cuisine and combine it with familiar favourites within their menus. All of their dishes are cooked from scratch and freshly prepared for you to enjoy:
Evening meals in chalets (three or four courses depending on the chalet grade with complimentary wine until coffee) will be served on five nights. Guests will enjoy a comprehensive continental breakfast for seven mornings with delicious and varied hot options provided by our hosts on five days. On our chalet hosts’ day off, continental breakfast will be laid out and guests are free to enjoy dinner in the resort.
Please note this is based on seven-night holidays. For holidays of shorter durations, catering will be provided for one day less than the holiday duration.
Please see details of the catering included with each grade:

This operator take great care in planning and creating their wonderful set menus for all of their chalets. Dishes are cooked from scratch, prepared in their own mountain kitchen (so they know exactly what goes in their food) and beautifully presented for you to enjoy.
Because food matters, they draw inspiration from regional and popular cuisine and believe it is important to use fresh local ingredients wherever possible so as to cut down on food miles.
This operator prides itself on being able to offer affordable quality ski chalet holidays with delicious food and superb service. Their set menus are integral to this. Their chalet menus are set as this enables us to maximise their buying power and to ensure a consistently high standard of delicious cuisine.
They have found recently that requests for dishes/food outside of their set menus have increased and become more complicated. Frequently they involve ingredients that are not readily available in ski resorts, (or are expensive if they are), or that need to be prepared in addition to the normal set menus delivered by hosts. Often they have not been notified in advance of someone requiring vegetarian food for example.
They are of course happy to discuss any requests with you as long as you do this before you book. We may check that this operator can prepare and source different ingredients from those we have in stock or buy normally for their set menus. Please make sure that your request (as per the table below) is on your invoice.
They are delighted to cater for the dietary requirements in the table below. However, they cannot cater for combinations of these, for example someone who eats no fish and who also does not eat diary. If you think this applies to you, please contact us BEFORE you book so that we can discuss your requirements first. It may be the case that a self-catering option is better suited to you as opposed to a catered chalet with set menus.
The operator cannot guarantee the complete avoidance of specific foodstuffs and therefore cannot accept any liability in the event of an allergic reaction. When you travel with this operator you accept that their chalet teams, whilst trained are not always qualified professionals and despite their best efforts cannot guarantee zero contact with specified foodstuffs, that cross-contamination cannot be ruled out, and that they have no control over items of food brought in by other guests and that we cannot always be aware of precise food contents of ingredients.
Please be aware that they cannot cater for anyone with an airborne nut allergy or anyone who is allergic to even traces of nut – it is impossible for them to guarantee that any ingredients from their suppliers are free of any nut traces at all or that they have been handled in a nut-free environment.
Nor are they able to cater for a low FODMAP diet for example.
As you can see there is a charge for some dietary requests. Whilst there is not a charge for every type of dietary requirement, if any request is not pre-booked you will be charged in resort.
Having costs for dietary requests means the operator are better prepared. This ensures they can continue to offer ski holidays at such incredible prices whilst still producing mouth-watering, locally inspired menus that are sure to impress!
