The New Solarium is a superb hotel that ticks all the boxes in giving you the most rewarding, relaxing break possible. Standing in the heart of the Jardin Alpin area of Courchevel 1850, it has expansive views across the resort and direct access to the sprawling Three Valleys ski area.
It's all about elegance and simplicity here, with its cosy and welcoming atmosphere. From the relaxing bar set around a central fireplace, where you can enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail or glass of wine, to the panoramic restaurant. Plus, every one of the 70 rooms is spacious, comfortable and tastefully furnished.
The classy restaurant serves tasty French cuisine to go with the setting, and the south-facing sun terrace has snuggly faux-fur seat covers to keep you warm while you enjoy superb panoramic views of the surrounding forest.
You can use the heated indoor pool and sauna whenever you want, and there are also professional treatments available for when you need that little bit more indulgence – the zen cabin is a firm favourite, with its variety of bio essential oil treatments. And if all the skiing hasn’t worn you out, you can spend some time in the fitness area to work up a bit of a sweat.

The New Solarium is nestled in a quiet spot in the heart of the Jardin Alpin area in Courchevel 1850. Catch the free shuttle bus down to the resort centre and you’ll find a great selection of restaurants, including Le Genepi and La Saulire. You could also spend an evening in the cinema, on the ice skating rink or perusing shops like Cartier and Chanel. Getting up the mountain is simple, too. The Jardin gondola is just across from the hotel, while the bottom of the Bellecôte green run finishes right beside it. So walking in your boots certainly isn’t an issue here.

When you arrive in Courchevel 1850, the coach isn’t able to take you right up to the door of the Hotel New Solarium. Instead, you’ll be dropped off at a central location in resort. From here, a smaller vehicle will pick you up and drive you the rest of the way through the streets of 1850 to the Hotel New Solarium, a 5-minute drive away.
