In 1946, Emile Allais (former Olympic skiing champion) and ‘Jeannot’ Cattelin (former owner of La Sivolière), had a dream: to create a ski resort that went beyond everyone’s expectations. Their ambitious project came to fruition shortly after the Second World War and helped foster the development of winter sports. The result was one of the world’s most well- respected ski resorts: Courchevel.

It offers different categories of alpine runs, for the young and the not so young, for the inexperienced and the near experts as well as for those who merely want to enjoy the remarkable views. The amazing slope maintenance and snow making (477 snow cannons) of the slope bashers ensure 58% of the domain is skiable from the beginning of December through end of April.
