Why Ski in Ax les Thermes?
The ski resort of Ax-Les-Thermes is a fairly unexplored resort by British ski tourists; just an hour and a half hour transfer from Toulouse airport it offers a quieter, cheaper and more distinct experience to that of other French resorts. With each of the 3 skiing areas easily accessible, it certainly feels bigger than its 80km of pisted slopes, and once you are done exploring those (which may take longer than you expect even doing full days!) you can bathe in the hot springs. “Le Bains du Couloubret” is the name of the thermal baths and spa in Ax-Les-Thermes and is definitely worth a visit for those looking to relax the muscles after a great day on the slopes.
